Trip to France 2008, delays on return

Unfortunately the travellers faced delays at Calais with a revised departure time of 6.30pm (local time). They can therefore expect to land at Dover by 7.00pm and return to Pebsham by 8.15-8.30pm.


Trip to France, update 4 Monday 7th April 2008

Everyone woke up to a beautiful sunny morning with 6 inches of snow. As the snow was melting the travellers made their way first to Agincourt and then after a visit to a french supermarket carried on to the ferry port.

Everyone has had an amazing weekend!


Trip to France 2008, update3, 6th April 2008

A very active day today, starting with archery in the snow! Then time to thaw and back out into the elements for raft building. Raft building was great fun for everyone with hilarious results! Everyone defied gravity by taking part in the zip wiring. The drying room has been well used today! An exhilarating day for all.


Trip to France 2008 update 2, Saturday 5th April

The day started off wet with the trip to the local market in Rue, but many bargains were found and bought! After visiting the Chocolate Factory and Goat Farm in the afternoon, the weather improved. The evening was spent getting to know everyone from both Pebsham and Glyne Gap and playing cricket, volleyball and football. The weather stayed cold but sunny until bedtime. A very enjoyable day for everyone!


Trip to France, Update 1 Friday 4th April

Pebsham and Glyne Gap \'travellers\' left Bexhill slightly earlier than planned and, after a short delay outside Dover, arrived at the ferry port in plenty of time for their crossing. The crossing to France was smooth and they made good time travelling through France, arriving at the Chateau at about 4.45pm. The weather in France is slightly misty, but spirits are high and all are pleased to have reached their destination.
