International School Links
Pebsham C.P. School with Escola Mata De Jonc in Palma de Mallorca
Our aim is to build a modern world class curriculum to inspire and challenge all learners and prepare them for the future.
Mrs Strickson made a visit to Mata De Jonc school in the summer term. She met the teachers and pupils and has set up links with Robins class and Eagles class with two classes at the school in Palma. Art work and letters have been exchanged.
One of their teachers is coming to make a visit to Pebsham CP School in the near future.
International Team
A team of three staff have been appointed to support our International links. This includes the Headteacher, a Senior teacher and the Modern Foreign Languages coordinator. An Action Plan is being drawn up for the coming year which will be a new strand in our School Improvement Plan for 2006-2007. We have included our new link in our Self Evaluation Form for Ofsted.
We have had a full school assembly about making contact with Mata De Jonc. A display from Palma with photographs and books is in the school hall.
At Pebsham School we are excited and enthusiastic about the opportunities for extending and developing our curriculum and encouraging cultural awareness for all our pupils in an enjoyable and fun way! We are keen to promote Global Citizenship in the curriculum and will work hard in the coming year to achieve an International School Award.
